A dozen shorts will be screened in neighborhoods and plazas with the Short Week Festival of Mucho Mas Mayo (17/05/2017)

This year marks the 8th edition of Short Week, a section framed in the program of activities of the Festival of Emerging Art Mucho Más Mayo and that each year sees increase in the number of audiovisual creators in its public call for short films.

Thus, this Thursday 18 and Friday May 19, the city of Cartagena and the Barrio de Peral, a neighborhood invited in this edition of the Festival, will be able to enjoy the short films selected in this VIII Short Week.

Through this day is intended to encourage dialogue between cortometrists and the audience after the projection of the same outdoors.

As usual, Semana Corta has three sections: Cartagena (short films by Cartagena filmmakers), Region of Murcia (directors short films from the rest of the Region of Murcia) and Abierta (rest of directors).

On its first day of celebration, on Thursday, the projections will take place on Calle Carmen de Peral, in front of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (Barrio de Peral), starting at 22.00 hours.

The shorts will be displayed: Animal Friendly (15 ').

On Friday 19th, the Short Week will be held in Plaza San Francisco, also at 22.00 hours, and where they will screen: Shadows in the sea (10 ').

The Mucho Más Mayo Festival through Short Week, organized by the production company ADN Visual, seeks to recall the purest style of summer cinema on the streets of the city, as well as show the works of Cartagena filmmakers, the works that are being done Performing in other places in Spain, and create an atmosphere of dissemination and approach to the world of the short film.

Throughout the six editions, more than a hundred short films have gone through Short Week, among them, some Oscar nominees and Goya winners.

Attendance at the short films projected on 18 and 19 May is free and free.
