The students of Bachillerato of Performing Arts of the institute Isaac Peral act this Wednesday, May 17, at 20,00 hours with the spectacle 'The Club of the living poets', that is part of the program of the festival Mucho Más Mayo that Organizes the City Council of Cartagena and will take place in the neo-Arab courtyard of the House Dorda, built by Victor Beltrí.
Thus, young people will give life to the texts of some of the great contemporary poets, such as Leonard Cohen, Bertolt Brecht, García Lorca, Alfonsina Storni, Miriam Reyes, Ana Peréz Cañamares, Katy Parra or José Hierro, in a scenic exhibition that fuses singing, Music, dance and declamation, interpreting songs and poetic texts of these authors.
The eighth edition of the Mucho Más Mayo emerging art festival has recovered the section dedicated to students, which is part of this activity.
Under the title 'Arte al Centro.
The festival of students', the festival has programmed various activities aimed at students of different educational centers of the municipality.
The attendance is free and free access until capacity is completed.
In this way, Mucho Más Mayo seeks to establish a bond of union between the students, their city and the artistic and plastic culture.
The activities developed around this festival of the students counts on the participation of numerous secondary schools that will expose their workshops and artistic projects realized by the students in streets and corners of Cartagena.
The activity 'The Club of the Living Poets' is coordinated by the Professor of Spanish Literature and Performing Arts at IES Isaac Peral, Juan de Dios García, who is also a poet and writer of numerous books such as 'Nomad', 'Arctic' And 'A blind photographer'.
