The VIII edition of the Mucho Mas Mayo Festival starts. From this Friday until May 21, the event will host 105 activities from different artistic and plastic disciplines (11/05/2017)

The VIII edition of the Mucho Más Mayo Emerging Art Festival will begin this Friday, May 12 under the motto 'Communities Imagined', theme chosen this year and around which will turn the activities that make up the program of the Festival.

Until Sunday 21 May, more than a hundred activities of different artistic and plastic disciplines will be able to be enjoyed in different sections of the Festival, such as: Facilities and Interventions, Music, Art to the Center, Lecture Series, Cinema, Artistic Events, Short Week, One Urban World, (Re) readings, Displaced Memories and May Open.

These activities will take place in streets and squares of the old town of Cartagena, and next to the Barrio de José María de Lapuerta and Barrio de Peral, invited neighborhood in this VIII edition, will share the 105 activities that will take place from May 12 to 21, Free of charge and free for all audiences.

This Friday 12 the Festival starts in the center of the city with the performance 'Giving a return' that will entertain the audience through the magic of the circus, 'The light of a thousand fires projects confused shadows' that will brighten the evening with a performance Theatrical outdoors.

'Silenciados' is the name that receives the performance-installation that will be realized during the afternoon of Friday and that will represent the social silence through legal and economic structures.

The exhibition 'Poesía al desnudo' and the screening 'Deaf Dialogues' will be the activities in charge of concluding the program of activities on Friday in the Old Town of Cartagena.

In parallel, the Barrio de Peral and José María Lapuerta will be the scene of activities organized within the Festival.

It will begin with the exhibition of 'Sculptures in Brunete' where different techniques used by artists will be shown.

There will be an exhibition of social poetry in the voice of different poets of the Region with the activity 'Urban CT.

Freestyle Hip Hop '.

Poetry and rap will remain united in the 'writers in struggle'.

The activities organized in the neighborhood will end with the 'Projection of the Imagined Communities Workshop', where various themes related to the Isaac Peral neighborhood will be shown, such as the figure of women or Russian constructivism.

All the activities developed during Friday 12 of May are free and of free access.
