The children's public will also be protagonist of the Night of the Museums of Cartagena (11/05/2017)

The little ones of the house also have their space in The Night of the Museums of Cartagena, that this year is celebrated next Saturday 20 of May.

The different museum spaces of the city will develop throughout the day multiple activities aimed at the whole family for which there are still places available ..

Those interested in participating in any of these activities should contact the spaces in which each one is held to formalize their inscription, except for the workshops 'Illustrates the milestones of the Enlightenment' and 'The Malaspina Expedition' , In which case it will have to be done online through the website of the Popular University of Cartagena.

The Enlightenment modernized Spain with Charles III, both in the arts and sciences, luxury goods, porcelain, crystal and silver, schools of arts and crafts, and great botanical expeditions such as that of Celestino Mutis to New Granada in the New World.

In this workshop we will become artists, 'illustrators' of all the landmarks of the 'Enlightenment' painting and creating our own porcelain of the good retreat where ships, roses of the winds, botanical and geographic discoveries will make us travel through their astonishing stories .

Family workshop adapted also for the blind, the ONCE Foundation

The Museum of the Roman Theater of Cartagena offers the possibility of holding a didactic workshop for families.

The participants will make a historical trip to the Roman past, they will know how the ideal Roman city was configured with its walls and doors, its great ways, its necropolis, its administrative buildings, religious, of spectacles, etc.

And all this from the construction of a model of 63 pieces in three dimensions, and with description in Spanish and Braille.

Once finished the activity in the classroom will begin the tour of the hand of one of our guides by the Museum and the Roman Theater.

In 1788, Carlos III entrusted to Alejandro Malaspina a scientific expedition by the confines of the Spanish empire, arriving at America, Asia and Oceania.
