The mayor receives the students from the bilingual program of the IES Ben Arabi (10/05/2017)

The mayor of Cartagena, José López, received this morning in the Palace Hall 60 students of second ESO of the IES Ben Arabí of the city.

The first mayor has welcomed the students, who have been accompanied by several of his teachers.

The young students, aged 12 and 13, belong to the French bilingual program of the center and have given the first edil a plaque commemorating the XXV anniversary of the IES Ben Arabí.

In the same way, they have transmitted to the mayor their recent experience after the trip that they have carried out by the French city of Pontcharra, locality that the institute has been visiting for twenty years and with which they have proposed to the mayor the accomplishment of a twinning.

In this sense, the students have presented Lopez with a bottle of wine with the name 'Cartagene', acquired in this town of eastern France.

José López thanked the young people for the details given and encouraged them to continue training "to be able to discern between good and bad," and reminded the young students of the importance of the stage they are Living, as it will "mark the rest of their lives."

Finally, the mayor has placed the students to a future meeting in the Palace Hall in which to perform all those issues related to municipal activity.
