Maria Teresa Cervantes presented his work The Night on the Shoulder (20/04/2017)

The writer Mª Teresa Cervantes presented at the Cultural Center Ramón Alonso Luzzy, his latest book of poetry, 'The night on the shoulder', edited by Torremozas.

The councilman of Culture, David Martinez, was in charge of presenting the author in an act in which also the chronicler of Cartagena, Luis Miguel Perez Adán.

The event was also attended by the Second Deputy Mayor, Francisco José Calderón.

An activity that was the starting signal for the activities of the second quarter of the program of the Department of Culture: 'Read Think Imagine'.

The work of Cervantes covers aspects of his life through the memory of sleepless nights.

"My adventure of life, the adventure of a time now nonexistent and that I have never been able to clarify" explains the author in the synopsis.

The Councilor for Culture, David Martinez Noguera, highlighted yesterday the relevance of Carmen Conde within the local and national cultural landscape.

"I am very grateful to the fate that made Maria Teresa and I meet because she is a woman full of wisdom, elegant, great writer and we are fortunate to be born in Cartagena," said the mayor.

Mª Teresa Cervantes was born in Cartagena, professor of EGB and diploma in French Literature by the Sorbonne of Paris.

She has been a Reader of Spanish in French Middle Schools.

From 1971 to 1995 he has taught Spanish Language and Literature in Bonn (Germany) to children of Spanish emigrants.

In 1966 he created in Cartagena the magazine of poetry 'Títiro sings'.

He has published 27 books between poetry, essay and epistolary work.

His poems have been translated into Arabic.
