The jury of the Literary Journeys of San Ginés de la Jara met this Thursday to decide the ruling of this year's edition.
This contest, which recovered last year the Brotherhood of San Ginés de la Jara with the support of the City of Cartagena and the Polytechnic University, had the modalities of poetry, with free themes - although they valued those works that deal with the sea, The sailors, Cartagena or San Ginés, and prose, who had to deal with issues related to San Ginés de la Jara, Cabo de Palos, the Spanish Armada or Cartagena.
The winners have been the Cuban Reinier del Pino and the cartagenera Milagros Marquez respectively.
The awards ceremony will be held on April 21, 2017 at 8:00 pm at the Museum of the Roman Theater in Cartagena, as part of the Cultural Week which commemorates the re-founding of the San Ginés Brotherhood Jara, patron of Cartagena.
The maintainer of the Literary Fair of San Ginés de la Jara, Juan Isidro Ros Espín, will open and present the event.
This figure has recovered in this edition that, even being the second of this new era, is the seventh time that this literary contest is held in honor of the pattern of Cartagena.
The figure of the maintainer was already present in the editions of the Literary Journeys of San Ginés de La Jara of the decade of 1960. In this way, the organization recovers this position that played important people of the cartagenera society during the time in which Developed the Justas at that time.

SECOND PRIZE: Francisco Javier Miras García - ANTIGUO CAMINO DEL MAR MENOR - CARTAGENA (SPAIN)
THIRD PRIZE: Joaquín Campillo Villa - SLEÑO DE VELA LATINA - CARTAGENA (SPAIN)
It should be noted that the winner of this year's prose modality, Milagros Márquez, ranked third in last year's edition.
Regarding the prizes, the contest maintains the 'capacity' of the fruits of the Campo de Cartagena that already occurred in the editions from 1969 to 1975. In total there will be three licenses in both categories consisting of lots of products and services.
The first one consists of a two-day stay in an apartment for 4 people in the Mar Menor, a 'capacity' of fruits of the Cartagena countryside, a lot of books, a batch of Byzantine beer products, a visit to a Cartagena de Palos, a baptism of diving in Cabo de Palos, a lot of Asian Café products, a lithograph of the Roman Theater, a visit to the Military Arsenal of Cartagena and a ship of catamarans, a physiotherapy session, a Entrance for two people to visit all the museums of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas, a badge of San Ginés de la Jara and the corresponding diploma accrediting.
