The Network of Chairs doubles its investment in the UPCT up to 800,000 euros per year (30/03/2017)

Hundreds of students, professors and representatives of companies took part this Thursday in the I Campus of the Network of Chairs of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), celebrated in the Auditorium of the School of Industrialists.

The Network of Chairs of the Polytechnic of Cartagena, in which the main multinational companies present in the Region of Murcia, already includes about thirty technological, socio-economic and entrepreneurial chairs.

And continues to expand, because this same Friday a new chair is signed, with the Union of Irrigators of the transfer Tajo-Segura.

Companies and organizations participating in the Network of Chairs invest in grants, research projects, training and dissemination actions and academic awards 800,000 euros a year currently.

"Revenues in 2016 doubled those of the previous year and for this year we expect a similar behavior," explained the Vice Chancellor of Innovation and Enterprise, Alejandro Pérez Pastor.

The day seeks to convey "the strength that brings having companies close.

The confidence that the Network of Chairs gives so much to the students, knowing that their practical training is oriented to the real needs of the market, as well as the teachers who solve technological challenges of the companies and transfer applied knowledge ", adds Pérez Pastor.

In 2015, the Network of Chairs of the UPCT won the national prize of the Spanish Network of Foundations Universidad Empresa (REDFUE).
