The Local Police form the Arsenal of Cartagena's personnel in matters of road safety and traffic (29/03/2017)

This Wednesday morning the military security personnel of the Arsenal Military of Cartagena, made up of 40 official members, noncommissioned officers and sailors, has received an informative talk about road safety and traffic by agents of the Local Police of Cartagena.

Through this initiative, which has lasted all morning, the security personnel of this military stay has known the legislation and basic elements of circulation that affect their daily work, working specifically on the provisions of Royal Decree 1428/2003, Of 21 November, which approves the General Circulation Regulation for the application and development of the articulated text of the Law on traffic, motor vehicle traffic and road safety, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 339/1990, of 2 of March.

This regulation establishes the conditions under which military personnel may direct traffic, and in Annex III, it specifies special cases of military transport and convoys on public roads.

In addition, they have been able to conduct management practices on the public thoroughfare (on Calle Real), which consists of knowing the signals of the agents responsible for traffic surveillance, and being able to carry out this work themselves, which will enable them to carry out their security work An optimal way.

The Armed Forces are reinforced their training in Road Safety, more so if when around the corner come the Route of the Strengths or activities of Holy Week.

This activity strengthens the cooperation between both organizations aimed at the safety of the port city.
