The City Council cedes eight thousand meters for the expansion of the IES of Santa Lucia and the Hesperides Center (10/03/2017)

The Local Government Board, meeting this morning, under the presidency of the mayor, José López, has approved the free transfer of a municipal land of 8,000 square meters in the Los Arcos, Santa Lucia, to the Ministry of Education and Universities of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, for the extension of IES Santa Lucía and the Center for Vocational Training "Hespérides".

The assignment is made at the request of the Director General of Educational Centers to alleviate the insufficient space of the facilities and proceed with the expansion of the institute to impart Vocational Training, through the construction of new workshops.

The assignment is conditional on the extension being carried out within 5 years and that the destination is maintained for the next 30 years.

ROMAN GARDEN AND ROMAN MURDERS

The Local Government Board has also accepted the donation offered by the neighbor Cándido García Molerá, a piece of land owned by him of 3,755 square meters of surface located in the deputation of La Palma with a botanical garden.

MUNICIPAL CONTRACTS

The Local Government Board has also approved a readjustment of calendar in the multi-annual expenses corresponding to several municipal contracts that will be awarded soon, among which are the maintenance of public lighting in the municipal district of Cartagena;

The conservation and improvement of gardens and trees of Cartagena;

The supply of electricity in low voltage for the City of Cartagena;

The conservation of children's and biosaludables games in Cartagena;

The maintenance of elevators in several municipal buildings;

The maintenance of low-voltage facilities in public publicly owned premises;

The printing and photocopying service of the City Council;

Supply of materials for municipal brigades;

The supply of electricity in medium voltage;

And the integral service of the municipal deposit, as well as the installation and withdrawal of various temporary portable traffic signaling material on the public thoroughfare of the municipality

ASSIGNMENT OF PLACES

The Governing Board has also agreed, at the request of the president and the manager of the ADLE, the transfer of temporary use of different spaces to different associations of social interest of the municipality, located in the right wing of the "Center Juvenil de Canteras" Property of the City of Cartagena.

In particular, classrooms and workshops for the development of different employment and training programs have been given to the Columbares Association, the Murcian Psychosocial Rehabilitation Association and the Foundation against Hunger.
