Economic Strategy asks industrial companies that professionals need to design a Training Plan (17/02/2017)

The Economic Strategy Area, directed by the Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, will prepare a questionnaire that will send to the different companies in the industrial sector and that will serve as a guide to design all the courses to be taught throughout the the next course.

In addition, each of the agents in the Local Employment Board have committed this Friday, February 17, to share the actions they are doing in the field of training professionals in the Industry.

"The objective is to know with complete accuracy what professionals each company needs and what they are doing to train them, to detect deficiencies and avoid duplication," explained the manager of the Agency for Local Development and Employment (ADLE), Manuel Mora. Know the needs of the sector, "it will be possible to put in place personalized training activities for each of these companies, which will be taught either in the Training Center for the Industry of Cartagena, or in the factories themselves," announced, Which has stressed that "we expect to have the results before the next meeting, which we have set for the second half of April."

The approval, last Monday, February 13, of the Agreement with the Training Center for the Industry of Cartagena (CEFIC) will allow the ADLE and the business community of the municipality to have specialized facilities in the training of workers from all over the Industrial sector.

"Until now we lacked the adequate space to offer training of this type, with the signing of this agreement and we are ready to opt for courses related to the industrial sector," said Mora.

Thus, the Local Employment Board, which was created in July at the request of the Economic Strategy Area, has gathered this Friday the members of the Training sector with the objective of promoting a Training Plan for Industry that fits the Needs of the sector.

The sector is made up of the Economic Strategy area, ADLE, COEC, Chamber of Commerce, Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT), Distance University (UNED) and unions UGT and CCOO, which, together with municipal companies , Will decide which trades are most in demand by professionals.

In a few days will be held the first meeting of the other sector that was agreed in July, the table of Economic Strategy.

With the conclusions drawn at both tables, the Local Employment Bureau will be convened in which the other political groups of the City Council are also represented.
