The Flamenco Rosa team of women points to the Dragon Boat this Saturday (17/02/2017)

The I City of Cartagena Dragon Boat Trophy will feature the participation of the Flamenco Rosa team, made up of women from the Region of Murcia affected by breast cancer.

Among the twenty crews enrolled in the competition, organized by the Royal Regatta Club with the collaboration of the City Council, which will celebrate this Saturday, February 18, starting at 10:00 hours in the North Pier of the interior dock of the port, Highlights the participation of this combination of fighters who have planted face to this terrible disease.

Flamenco Rosa is the first Spanish team of 'Dragon Boat BCS' (Breast Cancer Survivor), a movement that began in Canada and has spread around the world to plant face To this ailment.

The members of Flamenco Rosa began in 2016 to practice this modality of canoeing as a therapy, following the medical studies that indicate that the practice of this sport activity can help to prevent lymphedema, the swelling of the arm that usually occurs in women undergoing surgery Surgery on the breast and armpit.
