The Department of Social Services and Social Mediation, in coordination with the different social organizations that work in the care of the homeless and transients and with the Local Police Service of Cartagena, has put in place a special device in anticipation of Low temperatures and temporary warning.

All the people who are living in the street will be transferred to La Hospitalidad Santa Teresa.

In addition, the technical staff of the Homeless and Transients Service, in coordination with the Local Police and the Red Cross Volunteer Team, will intensify their work over several afternoons and evenings to ensure that no one is left without accommodation.

"From the council we request the collaboration of citizens, so that they notify the Local Police if they know someone who is at risk.

The agents, who are part of the device we have organized, will come to the aid of people who need it so they will not be in the street and move to Hospitality, "explained Councilor for Social Services, Carmen Martín.
