ESPAC forms the heads of the Cartagena football clubs in the use of defibrillators (16/01/2017)

The Councilor for Culture and Heritage, Ricardo Segado, and the mayor responsible for the area of ​​Quality of Life, Francisco Calderón, have moved this morning to the Cartagena Security Park to visit the courses that are being taught from the School of Public Safety of the City of Cartagena (ESPAC) on the use of the defibrillator.

At the end of this visit, Ricardo Segado stated that "as a result of the recent agreement with the Regional Football Federation we have been able to provide each municipal sports facility with a defibrillator. Students, and we will ensure that all football clubs in Cartagena have an approved training for the use of defibrillators and continue advancing in a cardioprotected city.

The members of the local Government have known the content of the training that are receiving representatives of the football clubs that carry out their activity in the different facilities to which they will be endowed with a defibrillator.

Currently, 23 students are doing this course that will have two more editions.

The ESPAC, as approved center, imparts this training action and will grant a diploma that recognizes the students as qualified for the use of the defibrillator.

It should be recalled that, at the end of last year, the agreement was signed between the City Council and the Football Federation of the Region (FFRM), which allows Cartagena to have a defibrillator for each municipal sports facility where football and soccer are practiced living room.

With this initiative, the Department of Sports completed an important assistance in the facilities where there is a high sporting activity with children and young people.

Finally, the Councilor for Sports has announced the next round of the 'Cartagena, cardioprotegida city' working group, which comprises several councils of the City of Cartagena, as it is a cross-cutting matter that affects the sports, education, Tourist, etc.
