Cartagena en Llamas recalls, a quarter of a century later, the burning of the Regional Assembly of February 3, 1992 from the point of view of the workers.

José Ibarra presents a book that shows the socio-political situation of the city and the events that triggered these events.

The public presentation of this work took place on the afternoon of Thursday, December 15, at the CajaMurcia Cultural Center, where the mayor of Cartagena, José López, along with the author himself, José Ibarra, and the official chronicler Francisco Franco, Numerous attending public who wanted to know this historic moment for the city.

In this book he makes a historical review of the events that took place in Cartagena around the industrial reconversion of the nineties, in which about 15,000 jobs were lost in the Cartagena region.

According to José Ibarra, his book completes other previous work because it comes to give a vision of the facts from the point of view of workers, highlighting the solidarity and union of all citizens and workers, as well as Bazán, companies Of fertilizers, Peñarroya and of almost all the industrial sectors that were affected.

The presentation was also attended by the chronicler Luis Miguel Pérez Adán, and Ana Rama from the municipal group Citizens.
