If you donate, you have been presented today the ninth edition of the Marathon blood donation SER solidarity that will take place next Thursday, 15 of December in the Palace Hall.
This solidarity event is organized by the Cadena SER Cartagena with the collaboration of the City of Cartagena and the Hemodonation Center, among other entities.
The person in charge of presenting this solidarity initiative was the Councilor for Tourism, Obdulia Gómez, accompanied by the director of Cadena SER in Cartagena, Antonio Rosa and the promotion coordinator of the Regional Hemodonation Center, Tońi Gómez.
For Obdulia Gómez donating blood is a simple act in which it takes fifteen minutes and, in return, you can give away something as important as life.
The mayor recalled that the demand for blood in hospitals continues to grow and especially at this time so close to Christmas.
This edition aims to surpass the 350 donations of the previous marathon and demonstrate the solidarity of a city like Cartagena that, according to Obdulia Gómez, is placed at the head of the municipalities of Region of Murcia in blood donations.
In addition, Antonio Rosa recalled that, as in the last editions, also will be given the opportunity to become a bone marrow donor.
For his part, Tońi Gómez stressed that this is the 25th anniversary of the Hemodonation Center in which hundreds of thousands of patients have been saved thanks to solidarity donations.
IX MARATHON OF DONATION OF BLOOD BE SOLIDARIOS
The time to donate will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
To be able to donate blood must be between 18 and 65 years, and up to 55 years to be a bone marrow donor;
Besides weighing more than fifty kilos and being healthy.
