Handicrafts, theater and music to commemorate the Day of Persons with Disabilities (29/11/2016)

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is being celebrated on 3 December, the Department of Social Services has organized a varied program of activities to help create an inclusive and accessible society for all.

These activities will be held between December 1 and 3 and will be addressed to the entire population and institutions that have an involvement in the field of disability.

The Councilor for the area of ​​Quality of Life, Francisco Calderón and the Councilor for Social Services, Carmen Martín, were responsible for publicizing all the details of this new programming, today, November 29, at the Palace Hall.

According to Calderón, this program aims to sensitize and inform about the relevant aspects that affect this group, as well as to share and offer spaces of diverse cultural, formative, informative, recreational, etc. nature.

The mayor of Social Services, Carmen Martín, was responsible for publicizing the activities that will begin on December 1 in the Palacio de Molina with an exhibition of crafts and painting.

They will continue with a master class on modeling, a physiotherapy workshop and theatrical performances, among other outstanding activities in which they will deepen on the disability like talks colloquiums and round tables.

The culmination of these activities will take place on December 3 with the reading of the Manifesto of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in the seat of the City of Cartagena at 13:00 hours.
