The local Government Board has approved this morning, the bases for the award of municipal housing in social rent scheme.
This is a proposal of the Department of Social Services, which will now act as the winner of the 39 houses that has distributed throughout the municipality, of which 29 are already occupied.
These homes are intended for families at risk of social exclusion who, for different circumstances, can not access rental market prices.
The award of these will be made through the strict application of socio-economic criteria among those who meet the necessary requirements.
In this way, a process will be followed to select the families who request it, following the procedure established in the bases and applying a scale of points that will serve to assess each case, with the highest possible objectivity and taking into account strictly technical criteria.
The application period will be 20 days after the publication of the call on the website of the City Council.
The lease contract signed by the families awarded will be linked to a social commitment, which seeks to establish preventive and informative, various situations and circumstances to optimize the use of housing and peaceful coexistence of the neighborhood.
This is intended to contribute to the balance of rights and obligations between the resources that the public administration puts at the service of citizenship and the correlative commitment that should be assumed by those benefited by such public action.
