Mateo Ripoll transports students from the Villalba Children's School to the African savannah (17/11/2016)

The walls of the playground of Villalba Municipal Children's School have been filled with giraffes, zebras, chimpanzees, crocodiles and rhinos with such realism and vividness in their colors that they manage to transport the children to the African savannah.

The artist who has achieved this magnificent transformation is Mateo Ripoll Planas, who is also professor of Drawing and father of one of the students of the center.

To this end, she has had the collaboration of two other mothers of students at this Children's School such as Beatriz Pérez Saura, also an artist and teacher, and Carmen Mª Navarro Alcaraz.

Councilor for Education, David Martínez Noguera, has praised the work that has done this artist in a totally altruistic way.

The work that Ripoll has done in the Children's School of Villalba has left an indelible memory of its passage through the center and has contributed to improve its facilities, said Martínez.

At present, Mateo Ripoll is one of the founders of the collective The Four Cats Urbansketchers, who organize and coordinate different cultural activities related to urban art.

In addition, he has made numerous exhibitions, both individual and collective, in Madrid, Segovia, Valencia, Mallorca and Cartagena.
