The Conservatory of Murcia enjoyed the talent of the winners of the last edition of Entre Cuerdas y Metales (17/11/2016)

The cycle of promotional concerts of the 20th edition of the Contest Between Strings and Metals, lived on Wednesday afternoon, November 16, his first musical stop at the Conservatory of Music in Murcia.

The soloists awarded the last edition, accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena, wore to the large audience that came to Murcia, showing a unique professionalism in each of their performances.

The premiere began with the concert for trombone and orchestra composed by Ginés Abellán Alcaraz, performed by Francisco Díaz Hernández (1st prize of the metal wind in the 19th edition of "Entre Cuerdas y Metales") and the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena, which will be repeated Performance on Friday 18 at the Auditorium of the Music Conservatory of Lorca.

PROMOTIONAL CONCERT IN CARTAGENA

In Cartagena, will be held today, Thursday 17 November, at 19.15 hours, the second promotional concert of Between Strings and Metals, in the Auditorium of the Conservatory of Music, venue of the contest that this year already reaches its twentieth edition.

The entrance to the concert will be free and free until capacity is completed.

The event will be attended by the director of the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena Mª Ángeles Bres García;

The Councilor for the Area of ​​Culture, Sports and Youth, Ricardo Segado, the director general of Innovation and Diversity Attention, Ana Millán Jiménez;

The councilor of Finance, Isabel Garcia;

And the councilors of the municipal group Citizens, Manuel Padín and Ana Rama.

The concert will begin with the performance of the Orquesta de Cámara de Cartagena, directed by Andrés Pérez Bernabé, from Edvard Grieg's The Last Spring.

Continuing with the first soloist at the piano, Arturo Abellán Sánchez, who is currently studying 2nd grade professional degree at the Leandro Martínez Conservatory in Caravaca de la Cruz, and who has won numerous awards in national and international competitions.

The first part of the concert will continue with the cellist Niya Yavorova Ralinova, who also participated in the concert that took place yesterday in Murcia.

The second part of the concert will be composed by the interpretation of the first prize in the wood wind modality Álvaro Canales Albert, who with his bassoon will interpret the Concerto in Mi minor RV 484, Nº 6 by Antonio Vivaldi.

Among his academic achievements is the first prize awarded in the second category at the Vega Baja-Baix Vinalopó Regional Music Performance Contest in 2013. In 2016, he completed his studies at the Murcia Conservatory of Music, winning the second prize in The contest Jóvenes Intérpretes CMM 2016. That same year, it obtains the first prize in the XIX Edition of the Contest of Music for Young Interpreters of the Region of Murcia Between Strings and Metals, as well as the first prize in first category in the Contest Comarcal of Musical Interpretation Vega baja - Baix Vinalopó.

At the moment he receives classes of the professor Jose Lozano Prior in the Conservatory Superior of Music of Navarre.

The final finishing touch at the concert today will be put by two students of the Cartagena Conservatory of Music, the winners in the percussion and flamenco modalities: Gonzalo Pineda González, who will perform with the marimba the work Asturias de Albéniz, and Luis Felipe Rodríguez Santiago, That with the flamenco guitar will play the bulería of Enrique del Melchor Callejón del Aire, accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena and by the singer Mª Dolores Cayuela Baeza.
