Cartagena products delighted the palates of those attending the fair Murcia Gastronomica (14/11/2016)

Recipes of aubergine, cheeses, artisan granitas, wines or caldereta are some of the products with which Cartagena delighted the paladares of the attendees to the Gastronomic Murcia, a congress of the Region organized by The Truth, that for the first time counted on the participation of The port city.

The Gastronomic Murcia Fair, held in the auditorium Víctor Villegas from 11 to 14 November, dedicated last Saturday exclusively to the region of Cartagena, with seven establishments of restoration that represented the city.

The event was attended by Deputy Mayor Ana Belén Castejón, Councilor for Citizen Security, Francisco Aznar, Councilor for Tourism, Obdulia Gómez, and Councilor for Culture, David Martínez, and Rosa Peñalver, President of the Assembly. , Minister of Culture Noelia Arroyo, Finance Minister Andrés Carrillo, Chamber of Commerce President Miguel Martínez, and the mayors of La Unión, Torre Pacheco and Fuente Álamo.

The area of ​​the district was attended by D'Almansa restaurants, with their eggplant chips with cane and sesame honey and Iberian liadito stuffed with cheddar cheese with pineapple chutney;

Los Habaneros, who has brought tuna tataki and octopus carpaccio with ice cream;

And Sacromonte, with stew of lobster and apple strudel and foie.

Also participating in the conference were the Salitre restaurant in La Manga with its breadcrumbs with tomato, smoked mullet and wakame caviar, Cuban bahokata and terramisú.

They have also been able to taste and purchase the products of several Cartagena companies such as the V Colinas gin, Bodegas Serrano wines, La Yerbera cheeses, graniada artisans from La Limonada de la Abuela Isabel and catering supplies from José Díaz.

The School of Hospitality of Cartagena has also actively participated in the fair Murcia Gastronomic with a demonstration of the preparation of typical desserts of Cartagena.

In its five editions, Murcia Gastronómica has become one of the most important events in the Autonomous Community, not only among the great chefs of the whole national territory, but also among avant-garde chefs.

With its participation, Cartagena has enlarged the products of its region in this gastronomic event.
