More than 40 thousand euros for the improvement of public lighting in Poligono Residencial Santa Ana and Barrio Peral (09/11/2016)

The municipal government that leads the mayor, José López, continues to try to meet the needs that arise in the different neighborhoods and councils of the municipality.

In this case, a representative of the local Executive, the Councilor for Portal and Office of Transparency, María José Soler, moved to Barrio Peral and the Polígono Residencial de Santa Ana on Tuesday to inform neighbors of two actions that, in the near future , Will have the purpose of improving public lighting at both sites, through two contracts that will be awarded in the near future, after the completion of the corresponding public tender.

In the first place, Soler met with the president of the Barrio Peral Neighborhood Association, Eduardo Martínez.

The local representative was aware of a project promoted by the Council of Urbanism and Infrastructures that the mayor directs and that will improve the state of public lighting in the streets Calatayud, Arcos de Jalón, Jaca, Aliaga and San Juan de la Peña through the installation of 16 new LED technology luminaires and self-regulation.

In addition to improving the installation, the action, which has a budget of approximately 13,000 euros and a deadline of execution since its award of twenty-five days, will imply greater savings in consumption, while influencing a policy aimed at efficiency Energy.

María José Soler has taken advantage of the visit to reiterate the commitment of the local government to the progress of the districts and councils of the municipal district, reiterating, on the other hand, the opportunity that presupposes the participatory budgets for the neighbors to pronounce on those projects that need .

The mayor has encouraged the participation of citizens in a process whose collection of proposals ends on November 15.

ILLUMINATION OF PEDESTRIAN STEPS IN THE POLYGON

Subsequently, the head of Transparency in the City of Cartagena, María José Soler, accompanied by the President of District 3, Francisco Calderón, moved to Santa Ana to meet with various members of the Conservation Institution of the Santa Ana Industrial Estate, among which Was its president, Jorge Juan Morales.

There, in addition to reviewing the needs of the neighborhood, Soler and Calderón have announced the next step to improve public lighting on Avenida Venecia, the main access road both pedestrian and round circulation.

This makes it necessary to improve the levels of illumination in certain points of the same, fundamentally of the pedestrian crossings, both in the direction of entry and exit.

The measure will consist of the installation of 18 new columns of polyester of glass fiber of six meters of height.

The new luminaires will feature advanced technology in energy efficiency with LED devices and self-regulation.

The work is valued at about 30,000 euros.

Its execution period, counting from the moment of its award, is one month.
