Sequence The exhibition Modernism in Fuente Alamo shows the architecture of the historic center of Cartagena (19/09/2016)

I work on the Painting Competition Outdoor City of Cartagena star in an exhibition through 50 works portrays the modernist architecture of the old town.

La Casa de la Cultura de Fuente Alamo hosts until October 2 this Sequences of Modernism, in the September Cultural of the town.

The opening of the exhibition took place on the afternoon of Friday, September 16, with the assistance of Councillor of the Culture and Heritage, Ricardo Segado, Councillor for Education and Culture of the City of Fuente Alamo, Juan Lorenzo Mendoza, President Regional Rural Box, Antonio Arroyo, Foundation and president of the association El Grito, Ana Garcia.

This first contact with the works of modernism cartagenero had over a hundred attendees, including local residents, participating artists and personalities and authorities in the Sala José Hernández de la Casa de la Cultura de Fuente Alamo.

Organized by the City of Cartagena and Lalumier Events & Communication, the exhibition includes works in its modernist architecture of the Old Town of Cartagena;

recognizable motifs, and spaces and buildings like the Calle Mayor, the Palace Hall, the Grand Hotel, the Pedreño Palace or the railway station.

The exhibition occupies two rooms, presents the different works in the three participating categories: adult, youth and children.

During the presentation, Councilman Heritage, Ricardo Segado, recalled the day the event is held in Cartagena last Saturday September 10, praising the work of painters and the beauty of the paintings, and presented the painter Alfredo Lopez a commemorative plaque represents an Honorable Mention he got for his work done in the contest.

Fuente Alamo is the first of the stops of this exhibition will be open until Sunday 2 October;

the second will be in the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia, from 27 October to 11 November;

and the last in the Byzantine Museum Wall of Cartagena, from 18 November to 4 December, closing this tour exhibition that gathered momentum with the celebration of the contest in the same city.
