The Carthaginians and Romans opening speech will be translated into sign language (13/09/2016)

With the idea of ​​making the opening speech of the festival of Carthaginians and Romans to people with hearing disabilities more accessible, the Department of Tourism directing Obdulia Gómez, provide first translation into sign language through an interpreter that can be seen on a giant television screen placed before the public, the próximoviernes, September 16, in the Town Hall square.

The translation may also be followed by a box on the screen in the live broadcast that the City will perform the act through its video channel on the Internet and is also included in the images to be provided to the various television networks who want use them.

The event will begin at 21:30 hours, after landing and on the sacred fire, and will include the introductions of different troops and legions;

harangues of Hannibal and Scipio general;

the appointment of Festero Honoris Causa, which this year went to Juan Arroyo;

interventions mayor, Jose Lopez, and the president of the Federation of Carthaginians and Romans, Javier Imbernón;

and the opening speech by cartoonists Joaquín Alcaraz and Rogelio Garcia.

The various passages and interventions will be happening on a stage set up at the foot of the Town Hall and from the balcony.
