The area councilor for Culture and Heritage Archaeological, Ricardo Segado, along with the general coordinator of Historical Heritage and Archaeology of the City, Mari Carmen Berrocal, held a meeting with the president of the Association for the Protection of Historical Heritage (DAPHNE), José Luis Sanchez.
During the same the need to take the necessary actions to catalog the different structures of existing passive defense in Cartagena during the Spanish Civil War, open to the participation of associations and bodies process was concluded.
To do so, it will be based on an existing catalog, designed by the local researcher and president of the Institute of Historical Research Cartagenero (INCIS), Antonio González, to be completed in the near future.
The initiative includes incorporating all shelters to the same catalog in order to valorize a whole.
This proposal responds to the will of the municipal government, headed by the mayor, Jose Lopez, to ensure over protection of all assets and liabilities of Cartagena.
Among the shelters that would consider the existing catalog is the beginning of Earth Wall Street, whose museological is scheduled to be made throughout 2017.
The main objective of uniting all shelters in a catalog, this finish is expected over the next year, it is to give them a certain degree of protection to ensure their protection for the future, bringing to it a proposal to the Community Autonomous to include them in the catalog of protected elements in Cartagena.
