This past weekend, the activity of the municipal group MC, headed by the mayor, Jose Lopez, focused on attendance and participation in the festivities in honor of Santiago Apostle that have been carried out in various towns of the municipality, who celebrated their big days around the holiday.
Yesterday afternoon, attention was centered on the arrival of the image of St. James the neighborhood of Santa Lucia, ceremony attended by the mayor, Jose Lopez, accompanied by the councilors of Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon and Finance, Isabel García.
The Apostle, as is tradition, arrived by boat to the dock that bears his name, after the landing, there was a procession and subsequent solemn mass.
On the other hand, last Friday night, Jose Lopez was commissioned to proclaim the festivities of Cuesta Blanca, where he praised the traditions, history and customs of this town located on the west side of village.
Also, the mayor of Portal and Transparency Office, José María Soler, did Saturday itself, being in charge of reading the opening speech of the festivities of Rincón de Sumiedo.
Soler, sheltered by a large audience, praised the progress achieved in this population and reminded his more illustrious neighbors, also praised the effort made by residents to get their holidays with a full program of activities.
