The Strategic Plan Grants will provide greater transparency and control to municipal aid (15/07/2016)

The Local Government City of Cartagena, meeting this morning under the chairmanship of the mayor, Jose Lopez, has approved the Strategic Plan for Grants for 2016, which will provide clarity and transparency to the amounts and concession processes and justification for aid granted from now the consistory entities and individuals.

As explained by the Councillor of Finance, Isabel Garcia, the plan is to fulfill a requirement of the Subsidies Act of 2013, which had been in breach by the previous municipal government.

He also noted that the approval of this plan was one of the objectives of the present government for this year and it is intended to standardize the basis for grants in the City, while improving and streamlining municipal expenditure management through a greater control and simplification of procedures, through a base datosmunicipal to collect all the subsidies granted annually.

He also stressed that the plan not only emphasizes objectivity and transparency of the award criteria, but also the need for justification, which must contain a performance memory supporting compliance with the conditions imposed in the concession.

Isabel Garcia noted that the Government had stopped granting subsidies this year, pending approval of this plan.

The former have begun to be granted this morning in the Governing Board, as were those granted among others clubs of people over El Llano del Beal and Los Barreros, as well as losTalleres del Mar and Musical Colonies to lower the price inscriptions.

A TENDER kiosks LOS JUNCOS

The Local Government Board has also approved the specifications for public tender for the concession of the two kiosks Park Los Juncos.

Both will be drawn to tender soon for a period of 15 years, including a five-year trial.

The upward annual fee has been set at 3,000 euros and in any case the two establishments may be awarded to the same person.

NEW HIRES

The Governing Board has also given the green light this morning to multi-annual expenditure necessary for the next contract services, as will the actuarial technical assistance on insurance for a period of four years and a budget of 199,200 euros;

railings repair public roads for one year, with a budget of 35,000 euros and maintenance of respirators Contraincendios Service staff for two years and a budget of 72,588.

Calls for these contracts will be published in the Contractor Profile of the municipal website.

LEARNER AND SQUARES NICOMEDES GĂ“MEZ

Finally, and among other issues the Local Government Board has approved the names of two people.

One of them, Laplaza Apprentice requested by the association of former apprentices Bazán for the existing public space in front of the old school of apprentices, today ISEN, between the street Menéndez Pelayo and Bachelor Cascales and which already last October the monument was inaugurated the Apprentice.

The other name is Nicomedes Gomez Sanchez, in memory and honor of the great painter and illustrator cartagenero, named Favorite Son of Cartagena in 1979. The square that bears his name is a new green area located behind the Sports Center Barrio Peral Cuatro Santos street between Lugo and the new greenway neighborhood Peral.

Nicomedes Gomez was one of the most prominent and versatile in the second half of the twentieth century cartageneros characters.

Exiled in France after the Civil War in 1954 made his famous series of illustrations of Don Quixote then donate to the City Council and in 1957 he first returned to Cartagena, keeping since a narrow creative and bond with his native city, he returned permanently in 1979 and died in 1983.
