The Youth Symphony Orchestra of Cartagena premieres this Sunday, July 17, at an inaugural concert will remember the times when our city had its own orchestra, a fact that had not happened since 1951.
For this reason, and to offer full support on behalf of the City Council, Councillor for Culture, David Martinez, he attended the Conservatory of Music in the afternoon of Thursday, July 14, to enjoy one of the tests of this young orchestra which includes artists between 17 and 18 years.
The orchestra is composed of a total of 45 members and has string section, woodwinds, brass wind and percussion section;
a full orchestra, as its young director, Alvaro Pintado says.
The project has arisen out of a concern and initiative of a large group of students of Higher Professional Education and Natural Music of our city.
As Pintado says, they are very excited last week are rehearsing 8 hours each day.
All facing his imminent release, to be held in the auditorium of the UPCT at 19.00 and will feature a first part that will perform the Overture Rosamunde and the Unfinished Symphony, the Viennese composer Franz Schubert.
The second part will go to some of the most popular soundtracks such as The Fox, Star Wars oGladiator.
This training commitment to develop and expand, through its musical contribution, the scope of the cultural offerings of regional scope in terms of symphony orchestras.
In addition, the JOSCT has the support not only of the City of Cartagena but UPCT and the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena.
This Orchestra is presented as a musical association non-profit, and cost 3 euros input the concert will go towards defraying expenses proper organization of the event.
