20 students in health orderlies and care seniors receive their diplomas (05/07/2010)

On Tuesday, July 6, the Councillor for Youth and Employment, Ruth María Collado, will award the diplomas to 20 students who participated in the courses of Celador Health and geriatric care to dependent adults, organized by the Development Agency Local and Employment, after overcoming their training and have done internships in hospitals and nursing homes.

In regard to the course of Celador Health, who participated in the unemployed, the theoretical training was 100 hours and has the health examination of the Directorate General of Planning, Health and Pharmaceutical Management and Research of the Ministry of Health and consumption.

The 10 participating students chosen from nearly 300 applications received specific theoretical training in the area of care and patient transfer, and to mobilize and assist the nursing staff.

The practices have been conducted in the University Hospital Santa María del Rosell and Perpetual Help.

As for the course in the care of dependent elderly, the 10 students selected from more than 100 applications, received 150 hours of theoretical training and have developed their practice in nursing Virgen del Mar, Los Almendros, Residential House, Carmen Foundation Zamora and Charity Hospital.

All of them have received a scholarship during practices of 10 euros per day of attendance.

The presentation of diplomas will be held at 11 am in the ceremonial hall of the Town Hall.
