The city of Huelva hosted from 10 to 19 June the VI European Games of Policemen and Firemen, where nine firefighters and police of the City of Cartagena, sponsored by UCAM, have managed to double the number of medals won in the previous European 2014, played in Brussels, returning home with 18 medals in different categories.

Cartagena athletes getting five golds, 10 silvers and 3 bronzes, in a high level championship that brings together around 80 athletes from countries like Germany, Russia and Portugal.

The categories where they obtained these results were Ultimate Fire Fighter (Gold Medal), Stair Race mode complete team (Bronze), Stair Race Open (Bronze), 1500 Open Water (Silver), Table tennis (Silver), 110m hurdles (Gold ) Weight (Gold), Disco (Gold), 3000 obstacles (Gold), 5000m (Bronze), Cross (Silver), 110m hurdles (Silver), Javelin (Silver), Rope (Silver) and Relay 4 x 100 ( Silver).
