The Circle of Silence, action of solidarity with immigrants, held the first Friday of each month in the Plaza del Icue, he told last week with the presence of the Councillor for Social Services, Carmen Martin, and the coordinator of the Department Damian Perez, who joined many other attendees.
This is an initiative that began in Toulouse in late 2007 and is held once a month in many cities in Spain and Europe, with one goal, to show solidarity with immigrants and appeal to the conscience of those who make the laws, apply and those on whose behalf they are made.
In Cartagena they are the first Friday of each month, calling next to Icue to all those who see the need to unite to deal with laws that do not respect the dignity of immigrants.
The Department of Social Services has been conducting coordinated with the entities of Social Action of the city working for integration activities, supporting all actions aimed at collective awareness of migrants.
