A convivial evening put the end to the programs Educating Family and Ladder Project Villalba (07/06/2016)

The Department of Social Services, with Abraham and Cepaim Foundation Project, has intervened in the Cartagena neighborhood Villalba under the Gypsy Development Plan, developing community interventions that have taken place since January based on the execution of two programs: I Educating Family, made with Abraham Project and Project staircase, through the Cepaim Foundation.

Educating Family program it has been based on the school and social support for children from second grade to second of the ESO, highlighting work with families to get track of families in the education of their children.

have also been made, complementary, leisure activities: departure for the city, sporting events, excursions with families, etc.

The Ladder Project has developed from several lines of action:

Individual itineraries Personal and Social Promotion, where 26 young people have participated in the neighborhood.

Training group itineraries, where 25 young people have participated in the two actions: Digital Skills (20 h) and Basic Skills (20 h).

Occupational Practice Theoretical training for labor immersion.

In this activity took part 15 young people who have been trained as professionals through the ¿Workshop Cleaning and Maintenance Facilities Industriales¿ (135 h).

Gypsy Woman Promotion, where 12 women have participated in the neighborhood of a set of activities directed towards this group people in collaboration with the Abraham Project.

Socio-community activities through which fostered a sense of belonging and participation as residents of the neighborhood.

As a culmination of all these actions, the activities took place last Friday to put an end to these five months of work.

Closing that was attended by the Councillor for Social Services, Carmen Martin, the coordinator of Social Services, Damián Pérez;

responsible for Cepaim, Pedro Lopez, and those responsible for Project Abraham, Juan Antonio Conesa and Toni Villarino.

At that closing an audiovisual on this stage of the project was presented, workshops, a dance, a healthy snack, and a gala awards and diplomas were organized with the collaboration of the House of Spirituality of the Foundation Work of Jesus .
