A judge files the sixth consecutive Lopez complaint against members of the previous government (03/06/2016)

The head of the court of Instruction No. 3 of Cartagena has decreed file the complaint by prevarication by Jose Lopez in 2014 against the then councilor of the 1st district, Florentina Garcia, and the president of the Neighborhood Board Perín by management some works of asphalting of 500 meters for 5,000 euros made in the deputation.

This is the sixth consecutive decision that judges and prosecutors have been taken against complaints by the current mayor against members of the Popular Party governments.

Lopez accused the councilor of prevarication to do some contract work and not even hinted in public statements that the work had been granted by political affinity.

However, the judge has ruled that it is not established that the Councillor give any instruction or hiring for jobs or were held before being charged.

The mayor now that work of asphalt used to accuse of crimes and calling for resignations.

"Lopez accused of transgressing both denounced and demanded his resignation and also Councilman Decentralization Area. This court decision shows that you can not accuse without evidence or suspicion use as a political weapon".

The chairman said at the time that the company had communicated with the cheapest offer would propose hiring in the next full board set for days later.

The plenary was postponed and the company began work without the Chairman of the Board had given instructions to do so.

He was the president of the Board who ordered the stoppage of the asphalt as I was informed that they had begun.
