De la Ceiba and Quetzal, Montserrat ABUMALHAM, today presented Friday at the Library of Luzzy (03/06/2016)

English teacher Yolanda Noguera and editor Paco Marín bring us Friday June 3 at the Library of Luzzy, at 19.00 hours, the collection of stories De la Ceiba and Quetzal, a selection of thirteen stories inspired everyday life in any Central American country.

Thirteen stories overwhelmed with normality with queMontserrat Abumalhan addresses the difficulties and hardships with which coexist and fortitude with which they respond protagonists.

The simplicity of the story and purity in the use of language the author give these tales quality and closeness and emotion makes us live with reading.

Women are the main protagonists of this book.

Their role in a society in which are also silent protagonists.

Their responsiveness to the harsh circumstances that normality assigns them.

Even with that, they are the only hope for a fairer and cleaner future.

Broken and vulnerable in a society that only they help manage.

This work is published to benefit the Association Tacaná development cooperation.

Proceeds from their sale will go entirely to fund collaborative projects.

ABUMALHAM Montserrat has a degree in Semitic Philology and another in French Studies.

It also has a doctorate in Semitic Philology also.

He is currently Professor Emeritus at the Complutense University in Spain, in the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies as professor.

In recent years he has taught courses in the Bachelor of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Doctorate of the University Institute of Religious Sciences, PhD in Arabic Studies.

Some of his publications are: hispanoárabe Women's Poetry, Women in Islam, myth, religion and superstition in contemporary Arabic literature, internal and external perception of Muslim women, Spanish Perspectives on Islam, Cultural globalization in contemporary Arab writers: religious symbolism, the Koran: a text at the crossroads, among others.
