Municipal Government expresses its condolences on the death of prosecutor Jose Antonio Zamora (20/05/2016)

Members of the Government of the City of Cartagena, led by mayor, Jose Lopez, and Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejon, alongside fellow officials have personally expressed his condolences to the widow of Jose Antonio Zamora Conesa, city attorney who died in the night last Wednesday.

For the morgue have passed this morning the Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejon, and council members Juan Pedro Torrlaba and Francisco Aznar, besides the municipal head of Legal Services, Francisco Pagán, who depended on the deceased, and fellow City Council.

The Mayor, Jose Lopez, attended the funeral which was held this afternoon.

The sudden death of Jose Antonio Zamora Conesa, who was found dead of natural causes yesterday morning in his private office, after his wife warned it had not come home at night, has caused deep consternation at City Hall.

He was 57 years old and had entered the municipal staff in 1977. He was named honorary dean of the College of Procurators of Cartagena, after leaving the post of dean.

In 2008 he was awarded the Cross of San Raimundo de Peñafort with the Ministry of Justice rewards outstanding merit made by those involved in the administration of justice and the cultivation and application of the study of law in all its branches, as well as services rendered without unfavorable note in legal activities.
