MC will take the May municipal plenary debate on the statement Thursday 'Carthaginians and Romans' as school day (16/05/2016)

The municipal MC Group will present at the next plenary session to be held on May 27, a motion requesting that the City of Cartagena urge the Ministry of Education of the CARM to, meeting the needs of the school calendar that are appropriate, consider as no school day in Cartagena on Thursday, September 22, being significantly linked to the holiday celebrations date Carthaginians and Romans.

This motion is the result of last week's meeting between the council of Transparency Portal and Office, José María Soler, and the President of the Federation troops and legions of the parties 'Carthaginians and Romans', Javier Imbernón.

During the meeting, Ibernon transmitted to Soler who did not find any downside to a proposal that would allow greater involvement of the student community in the festive period.

It is recalled that the Municipal School Board Cartagena, after the meeting on Monday, May 9, 2016, determined as non-school days for next year on 31 October, on December 9 and 27 February, obviating the possibility of a national holiday on Thursday, September 22, one day before the local festival of Carthaginians and Romans, dated for September 23.

In this regard, we must deepen this festive Thursday has projected years, for the realization of exclusive educational activities for children.

Thus, in these days the historic part of the festivities were taught, all as a coda to the work unfolds 'Carthaginians and Romans' visiting schools throughout the year.
