The Federation of Associations and Centres for the Elderly in Cartagena and Shire, together with the Unit for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities of the Department of Social Services, organized a year the Conference of Major in which this year celebrates its ninth edition since 2007 . it is a few days of training for all managers of clubs over our town.
The initiative aims to make available to the largest a wide range of educational topics of interest, such as sexuality in older people, the benefits of mental exercise or positive psychology for healthy aging, themes that allow them to acquire, update and expand their knowledge and skills to promote their personal development.
The opening ceremony of the conference will be borne by the Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejon, and will take place on Tuesday, April 26, at 9:30 pm in the Assembly Hall of the Open University, which was also attended by the councilor area Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, and the Councillor for Social Services and Social Mediation, Carmen Martin.
The closing of the conference will take place at 12:45 hours by the mayor, Jose Lopez.
In these days usually involved some 170 seniors, mostly belonging to the boards of major clubs, in order that they in turn transmit the knowledge acquired.
