The City agrees with the labor rights of public contracts companies (21/04/2016)

The councilman delegated contracting, Isabel García, held a meeting this morning with Vice President of the Regional Confederation of Organizations of Cartagena (COEC), Juan Carlos Garcia;

Secretary General of the Regional Federation of Employers of the Metal (FREMM), Andres Sanchez, and the president of the Association of Security Companies Region (ARESMUR), Encarna Ortiz.

During the meeting, they have addressed the consequences that can affect the working conditions of workers in cases of companies that may incur casualties reckless procurement processes.

This is a matter on which the municipal government special emphasis, arbitrating the necessary measures to ensure respect for the rights of workers who perform their professional work in the successful tenderers for public tenders measures.

Thus, from contracting, is included in the contract documents referred to in any bidding process, an annex to reports on the obligation to apply the appropriate collective agreement to which subrogated to hired for that particular service personnel.
