Afibrocar partners association invited the council area of ​​Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, to visit facilities based in San Ginés, at a local donated by the City of Cartagena.
During the meeting yesterday afternoon, April 12, Calderon knew firsthand the functions and tasks carried out by workers and volunteers of this association which aims to improve the lives of people who padecenfibriomialgia or chronic fatigue syndrome, a disease characterized by chronic pain process that often alter the rhythm of life of patients.
People who suffer often experience severe pain, fatigue and a feeling of discomfort that is often accompanied by a low mood, so Afibrocar organizes activities for both physical and psychological improvement of these patients.
During the assembly of all members, in which participated the mayor, Calderon could hear that offer dance or swimming pool, among others, and have specialized monitors and physiotherapists.
In addition, they said they are preparing a program with various activities to celebrate the World Day Fibriomialgia, which will take place on May 12.
