Cartagena citizens registered today a motion to require that, in the worktable "Manifesto Phoenix," a representative from each of the political groups of the opposition.
The spokesman for Citizens Cartagena, Manuel Padin, does not understand that "since 2015 have been convening these meetings, and there is no representation of opposition groups, at least, of those who signed the manifesto: CTSSP-We can and Citizens" .
To Padin, "If this political formation is proving something is that we have ability and willingness to fight the City Council, but also from the Regional Assembly and the Congress of Deputies, by investments that this city deserves and needs".
Therefore, according to spokesman orange training, "we believe we can be crucial and decisive to conquer a better future for Los Mateos".
Exactly one year ago, in March 2015, a group of groups and associations of social action, along with most political parties in Cartagena, we signed the so-called "Manifesto Phoenix", a text by which we expressed our support for the development and gradual and sustainable implementation of a "Plan of Integral Intervention neighborhood of Los Mateos" (PII) for the period 2015-2019.
On June 18, 2015, the Coordinator of Collective Los Mateos requested at a meeting with the municipal government, the establishment of a working group in order to develop, evaluate and prioritize the necessary short-term measures, medium and the gradual implementation of the eighteen projects included in the Plan.
This table was formed last September 21 and is made up of representatives of the companies in the Coordination of Collective Los Mateos associations, the council of the competent municipal government in the matter, as well as by municipal technicians, and it has already held several meetings work to advance the objectives of the plan.
However, the worktable no members of other parties who hold representation in the city of Cartagena, though some of them are signatories of the manifesto and we are fully committed to it.
Consequently, from Citizens we believe that would be good, even necessary, to include in the worktable "Manifesto Phoenix" to other political parties, from the conviction that its success is only possible through collaboration and joint work among all.
