The wide CAVI working hours of their workers to strengthen assistance to victims of domestic violence (07/03/2016)

Center Network Specialized Care for Women Victims of Domestic Violence (CAVI) continues to work in the city to fight this social scourge.

To this end, the City Council has strengthened its services with the extension of the working hours of its professionals, to reduce waiting lists and provide immediate service that can respond to these women.

So this morning the Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejon, and the Councillor for Equality, David Martinez, at a press conference informing the set of actions that are being carried out from the collective to combat gender violence.

The CAVI had so far with a social worker who worked 21 hours a week and a psychologist to 20 hours a week, following the decision from the Department of Equality and the government team will work full-time with 35 hours per week to pay proper care and thus resolve the failures of service.

In addition, since the City Council has asked the community increased benefits that can meet the need of the municipality, including extending also to the entire workday atiempo of attorney, which currently only serves two days a week.

ACTION FOR EQUALITY
