The Municipal Sports Pavilion Wssell Guimbarda lived Thursday afternoon exhibition with the celebration of the XXXVI School Competition sets in the form of Rhythmic Gymnastics organized by laConcejalía Sports, which deployed a large device decorative material, wall hangings and music .
The event involved more than 600 pupils and students aged between 3 and 17 years, distributed in 93 teams representing 22 schools and sports facilities where this sport is taught, whose main objective is to motivate the daily learning and take advantage educational values ​​that emerge from the spirit of the competition, considering that sport is essential in the formation of children.
More than 2,500 spectators attended a pavilion full of light, color, paints, brightness, rhythm and fun.
This competition is part of the program of Sports School Age, organized jointly by the City of Cartagena and the Directorate General of Physical Activity and Sport of the Autonomous Community of the Region.
Thirty technicians specialized in this sport, led the competition and appreciated the good work and the enthusiasm with which the gymnasts Municipal School of Gymnastics, performed their exercises organized into seven categories:
Lollipops - hands free.
Prebenjamín - hands free.
Benjamin - hands free.
Youngsters - ring and hands free.
Children - ball.
Junior - hoop and rope.
Senior - ribbon and hoop.
In the end they held an exhibition Clubs Gimnasia Project Cartagena, who have been working with the Department of Sports since 1986, the Club Gimnasia San Anton, Champion of Spain in 2015 in the form of Aesthetic Group Gymnastics and Paula Enriquez with maces and Valeria Rafalska with tape, both regional champions last season belonging to Rhythmic Club Cartagena.
In the closing ceremony, with the presentation of trophies and medals, he was the councilor for the Heritage, Culture, Education and Sports, Ricardo Segado, accompanied by municipal technicians.
