The traditional game of boules still has followers, proof of this is the petanque championship for more than last Friday, February 26 was inaugurated on the dance Jose Maria de la Puerta.
The first test of the competition was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejon;
as well as the mayor of Sports, Ricardo Segado;
Trasparencia Councilman Juan Pedro Torralba and the Councillor for Social Services, Maria del Carmen Martin del Amor.
The championship will be held every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 16:00 hours in different petanque is in Cartagena and surroundings.
A total of nine participating groups and will play one leg and one back.
The winners will be announced in early June.
