The Civil Guard detained three people and charged to another, engaged in committing robbery (23/06/2010)

So far it has clarified more than a dozen crimes

The Civil Guard has developed over the last few months the operation "ANYKO", which has led to the arrest and charging of several people involved in more than a dozen violent robberies committed in the Campo de Cartagena.

It has been practiced entering and searching in two buildings, where they have seized several weapons used to commit crimes and recovered a large number of stolen effects, some of them returned to their rightful owners.

This action is framed in the "Crime Prevention Plan in the Campo de Cartagena", the Guardia Civil de Murcia has enabled to detect and eradicate any criminal activity related to the heritage sites of this region.

Civil Guard officers detected a few months ago the commission of robbery with violence and intimidation in different localities of the Campo de Cartagena in which subtracted personal and vehicle components, creating alarm among the citizens.

Civil Guard immediately launched an investigation aimed at eradicating the commission of such crimes, establishing a series of devices composed of discreet surveillance in areas vulnerable to this type of theft.

The result of the raids, the investigating agents able to learn valuable details about these thefts involved Jan and his acting.

Modus Operandi

The alleged perpetrators of the thefts investigated are people of Arab origin and aged between 18 and 25, used to act on at least two groups, mobile county and had established its base in the town of Fuente Alamo, which used two house for meetings and to store the stolen effects.

These people used two subtypes depending on the target crime, acting in the streets against pedestrians or people driving your vehicle, which sometimes threaten and intimidate reached using weapons.

In the case of theft victims on foot, the alleged perpetrators chose victims among women and men of advanced age, being caught from behind and beaten, thereby ensuring physical superiority that prevents victims out in pursuit and , to attack them from behind by surprise, avoided in most cases be recognized by the victims, attacked to steal personal effects carried by the victims at that time as watches, necklaces, handbags, documentation, ...

On the other hand, those surveyed were acting against their vehicles circulating victims who were attacked when they tried to park the cars in the garages of their homes or parking on public streets, being tackled from behind, using physical violence to remove both personal effects and vehicle components.

Once obtained all necessary evidence on persons under investigation, logistics employees and property used as a warehouse for stolen effects, in recent days has developed the operational phase of the transaction effecting the arrest of three persons and the imputation of another as suspected of robbery with violence and intimidation and serious disobedience to law enforcement officials, making the entry and search of two houses where effects have been seized and stolen weapons used by the detainees.

After investigating the police inquiries and analysis of information obtained in the process of investigation, the Civil Guard officers have been clarified so far 13 criminal offenses.

Clothing like 3 jackets, sweatshirts 1 jacket and 2

240 euros in cash.

Some of these effects have already been returned to their rightful owners continuing efforts to locate and return the rest.

The detainees, proceedings initiated and recovered effects have been made available to the Investigating Court in Cartagena (Murcia).
