| The training activity is organized by the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and deals with chromatic reconstruction techniques | The Municipal Restoration Workshop of the Department of Culture collaborates in the initiation course of restoration techniques and procedures promoted by the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), which is currently being held until August 28 at the Palacio Molina.It is aimed at students of fine arts, art history or people who are dedicated to the restoration and conservation of works of art and want to learn the techniques of chromatic reconstruction.

The capacity of the classes is limited to a maximum of 20 students and this training is given by specialist teachers in the field: Isidro Pérez López, Miguel Navarro Salinas and Tania Soler Navarro. After the course a certificate of attendance from Funcarele is issued.COURSE CONTENTSThe chromatic reintegration techniques that are carried out today are many and varied, some are made by drawing lines such as tratteggio or rigattino, others by making points such as puntinato, but there are also other techniques that They are based on the imitation of textures, the application of glazes or spot colors, etc.Aqueous procedures such as watercolor, tempera or gouache are the most accepted and used to adjust the color, while the varnish procedures are reserved for the final touch-ups.
