| Bernabé states that "It is urgent that the Government delegate request reinforcement of the Civil Guard and Police National against the avalanche of boats "| The PP senator that "the agents are putting their health at risk since the disinfection protocols for vehicles that transport illegal immigrants who must be quarantined are not operational" The Senator of the Popular Party, Francisco Bernabé, has denounced that "on a day like today the region of Cartagena does not have citizen security patrols because all the Civil Guard troops are dedicated to covering the arrival of illegal immigrants." And he adds that "it is inconceivable that in the middle of August the security of more than 300,000 inhabitants is left unattended." Bernabé considers it "essential" that the government delegate "stands before Madrid" and "urgently demand reinforcement agents from the Civil Guard and National Police in order to face the avalanche of boats." For the 'popular senator, "the Sánchez government cannot look the other way when, in addition, we are experiencing an effect called by its irresponsible immigration policy. Francisco Bernabé has insisted that "all the active agents of the Benemérita in the coastal area of ??Cartagena are assigned today to the search, custody and transfer of immigrants who are arriving in these last dates".

These circumstances mean that "there are no guards available to ensure public safety in the main tourist area of ??the Region and during the most important holiday bridge of the year, which increases the presence of vacationers and tourists in these coastal areas." the PP representative in the upper house denounces that "the agents are being forced to carry out their work in conditions that are extremely dangerous to their health, since several of the disinfection protocols against the coronavirus that the vehicles that transport immigrants who are detained and who must remain in quarantine must keep are not operational.

" For Francisco Bernabé, "these arduous working conditions are compounded by the great problem of the continuous leaks that are taking place in the provisional detention and custody centers for illegal immigrants that have been set up, five in recent weeks." In his opinion, "in addition to citizen security, the public health of all citizens is also endangered due to the risk of contagion that can occur with the escape of infected people."
