The municipal Computing Service registers 1,200 requests and incidents of public employees since the beginning of the confinement (12/04/2020)

Since the beginning of the confinement decreed by the State of Alarm, the Information Service of the Cartagena City Council has managed a total of 1,195 requests and incidents by public employees.

These requests have been made within the framework of the actions carried out during the health crisis by the Consistory to facilitate teleworking for its employees.

Thus, during the first week, every day more than a hundred requests from employees were exceeded and on Monday the 23rd it was the busiest day, reaching 162 requests / incidents in just one day.

Since then, the number of daily requests received has decreased.

Regarding the channels used to make requests, the first week of the State of Alarm, public employees made use of the telephone route, while the second was email.

After the first fortnight, and once the majority of users have already accessed their municipal device through telework, the most common means of making requests and incidents is being the CARi municipal intranet.

In addition to these requests, the Computing Service, dependent on the Department of Transparency, General Services and Electronic Administration, which is directed by the Delegate Councilor Alejandra Gutiérrez, has worked this week on the implementation of the videoconferencing system and applications that allow and facilitate teleworking For municipal employees, as well as applications for assistance to families, it has launched the telematic vote that allows plenary sessions to be held during this period and has developed the Coronavirus Information web portal, together with the Documentation Center.

In this way, "the meetings and videoconferences service developed by the Computing Service has been launched with the aim of minimizing contact and maximizing the prevention and safety of the workers of the Cartagena City Council," Alejandra Gutiérrez pointed out.

The mayor stressed that the City Council has provided the necessary means and tools so that, in just two weeks, more than a thousand people work from home.

In the last week alone, 261 video conferences have been created, in which 785 public employees have participated.
