The Cartagena Historical Novel Week, which celebrates this year its XXI edition between September 29 and October 9, joins the commemorative acts of the bicentennial of the death of the famous Cartagena actor Isidoro Máiquez by organizing a Short Story Contest which will be titled "Knowing Isidoro Máiquez".
Those interested in participating have from April 1 to May 31 to present their works in three bookstores in Cartagena, Santos Ochoa, Centro and Alcaraz Comics, as established in the rules.
The stories, original and unpublished, must be inspired by the time, life and work of Isidoro Máiquez, being able to choose to win a prize of 150 euros.
The winner's name will be announced on June 30 through the web www.semananovelahistoricacartagena.es
Organized by the Association of the Week of Historical Novel of Cartagena with the collaboration of the City Council, the contest is open to everyone, without restrictions by nationality or residence.
