ASIDO rewards the work for the inclusion of the Herrerías de La Unión school, Café Lab and the Cartagena Panda Racing association (10/12/2019)

ASIDO Cartagena, integrated in Plena Inclusión Región de Murcia, thanks the effort one more year to those who collaborate with the association by delivering their 'Amigo solidario' awards, which this year celebrates its eighteenth edition, coinciding with the International Rights Day Humans.

These awards, which have been prepared by hand in the workshops of the association, highlight the support for the group of people with Down syndrome and intellectual disability in the region.

On this occasion, the winners have been the Herrerías de La Unión educational center for its five years of commitment to educational inclusion, the Café Lab company for the hiring of two people with intellectual disabilities and the Cartagena Panda Racing association for their solidarity collaboration with through the 'Panda Raid' race.

All the awards have been presented at the City Hall on Tuesday, December 10, in an act chaired by the vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo, along with the mayor of Social Services, Mercedes García, and the president of ASIDO Cartagena, Juan Pedro Sánchez .

In the case of the Herrerías school, it was little Daniel, a student with Down syndrome, who was in charge of delivering the prize to the director of the center, Antonia María Hernández, as well as the two young people hired at Café Lab have done so to the owner of the company, and, finally, the president of Panda Racing from the hands of boys who participate in their activities.

The act has also been assisted by the councilor of the government team, María Amoraga, and the mayor of the corporation, Jesús Giménez and Arantxa Pérez.

The vice mayor recalled that the City Council "works from different programs to improve the lives of people with disabilities and achieve a greater degree of inclusion," always with organizations such as ASIDO and entities that apply solidarity in their day to day.

The three winners will be honored on Saturday, December 14, at the traditional charity dinner of ASIDO Cartagena that brings together family members, professionals, volunteers and collaborators of the entity with people with Down syndrome in order to raise funds to improve services of its centers.
