The FICC48 starts shooting in Cartagena (23/11/2019)

Sandro Miller, author of the photographs of the exhibition "PSYCHOGENIC FUGUE" in Cajamurcia, will present the short of the same title shot on the occasion of this exhibition, before the screening of the feature film.

The film responsible for inaugurating the 48th edition of the Cartagena International Film Festival is the Franco-Japanese production 'La Verdad', directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda and starring two French film divas: Catherine Deneuve and Juliette Binoche.

Fabienne (Catherine Deneuve) gives life in the film to one of the great stars of French cinema, reigning among the men who love and admire her, but in her inner world she has great conflicts with Lumir, her daughter (Juliette Binoche).

Lumir travels with her husband and daughter to Paris when her mother's memoirs are published, and the encounter will soon become a confrontation: truths will be revealed, accounts will be adjusted, love and resentment will be discussed.

The director, Hirokazu Koreeda (Tokyo, 1962), was a winner of the Palme d'Or in Cannes in 2018 for 'A family affair' (also nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Film) and presented 'La Verité' (The Truth) in the last Venice Festival.

His prestige is endorsed by the numerous awards received in his career, from the Golden Orsella in Venice in 1995 for 'Maboroshi no hikari', his film debut, to the Grand Jury Prize in Cannes for 'Of such father, such son' , or the Best Screenplay award in 2011 for 'Kiseki', among other awards.

The film will be screened on Sunday November 24 in Sala B of El Batel, in an original version subtitled in Spanish, after the short film 'Psychogenic Fugue' by Sandro Miller.

The author of the exhibition that can be visited at the Cajamurcia Foundation until December 22, will present the short film on the occasion of this exhibition, whose title ('Psychogenic Fugue') refers to a dissociative disorder in which a person forgets who He is and leaves his home to create a new life.

In the short film, John Malkovich plays different fictional characters created by director David Lynch, from Frank Booth of "Blue Velvet" to Special Agent Dale Cooper of "Twin Peaks".

Tickets for Room B of El Batel are on sale at the El Batel Auditorium box office, and are also available online.

Its price is three euros per movie, but you can also buy a 6-movie ticket for 15 euros.

All screenings at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center are free.
